Mook: 2008: Foot Locker Puma

Posters and radio ad supporting Puma’s latest launch – trainers that
change the way you see the street.

Challenge

To develop a campaign supporting the launch of a new Puma model
inspired by Ducati motorbikes.


Concept
Given Ducati’s heritage as a classic motorbike, we developed a concept
that would appeal to our speed and design loving male audience:
Conquer every corner. The concept tapped into the both brand’s boldness,
whether on the street or on the road.


Execution
Our poster execution pushed the concept by presenting a scenario in
which ‘confidence’ enabled the wearer to see the streets differently; the
mundane, urban setting transformed into a magical racetrack where
speed and attitude were tested.

We also wrote three radio-scripts to support the launch of the trainers
across Italy. We utilized a mixture of sound effects and silence in order
top gain the medium’s full potential – characteristic racetrack sounds
merged to become soothing street sounds.



Results

A visually stunning poster and inspiring radio ad made this a successful
campaign, launched in four different markets (Germany, Italy, France and
Spain). Some posters also featured in the national press.
